“Going into the retreat, I was skeptical—unsure how relevant the teachings would be to my journey. I had no idea how deeply the space you created, the wisdom you shared, and the presence of your teachers would impact me. The journey was both physical and emotional—profoundly illuminating. I gained new awareness of my emotions, my past, and even my family’s history in ways I never expected. One of the most powerful moments was when I felt lost in the medicine—overwhelmed and uncertain. Since returning home, conversations with my fiancé about family and the future feel more grounded. The motherly energy I felt from you inspired me. I hope to pass on that same love and presence to my own children one day.

“I will try and put into words how grateful I am to have had Marisa guiding me through this journey. I was immediately taken back by her energy. It was almost like she was glowing constantly. Just radiating. From the moment we had our opening fire prayer on our first night. She made me really think. Really feel. Really absorb the moment and week we were all about to have. To stop and dial in my intentions. And to be grateful for every second along the way. She made me feel welcome. Made me feel like I was home. She made me feel worthy and that I belonged. She has a beautiful way with words. It’s like she was reading a poem every time she spoke. I loved all of her lovely songs she would sing to us during our prayers. They made me feel so peaceful. Her way with words really encouraged me to dive deep into my spiritual side. 

I struggle with drugs and alcohol. And one of my intentions was to release them for they do not serve me anymore. While getting cleansed with the coals of the fire before our psilocybin journey she said to me “ Addiction is trapped creativity” 

I’ve never heard that before so it stuck because I write and play my own music. So I was just thinking about what else I could unlock if I could just LET GO of these things.

These words were with me during my journey. And “LET GO” was in my head on repeat. When things were getting dark and at times overwhelming during my trip I could hear her voice  “come back to the light” referring to the candles she lit at our bedside. Follow the light. Find your candle. Her voice, message and presence kept me in the light. She was like a guardian angel during my experience. She made me feel so safe. Sooooooooooo safe. She smiled at me and held my hand because she knew I needed that. I don’t like to cry. But crying in front of her was ok. To just be. To just LET GO

I feel so lucky to have met Marisa and got to spend the little time I had with her. It makes me happy just knowing that she is apart of my life now. She is a stunning reality check. A humongous breath of the freshest air. The perfect person to stop and smell the roses with.

I think Marisa is an angel disguised as a human. I’ve never encountered someone in such a small amount of time that has made such a massive impact and imprint on me. One of the most beautiful, pure, kind loving souls I’ve ever met. I am honored and lucky to call her my friend now.
